Please note that search engines and other third parties may retain copies of your public information, such as your profile information and public posts and activities, your photographs, or any information you post on Neargroups, even after you have removed the information from our services or deactivated your account.

Help with Google search visibility

Note that Google and other search engines may index the words you type into your Neargroups, your photos, or any information you post on NearGroups, so your profile or your posts may appear in search results that include those terms.

Google and other third-party search engines use a variety of factors to generate search results, including the content of public posts and Neargroups profiles.

Why does my group... keep showing up on Google after I've deleted them?

Even if you delete the group, Google and other search engines still cache search results, which means that sometimes old information will continue to appear in searches until Google and other search engines update their systems with newer information.
Any out-of-date links that appear in a Google search will lead to the 404 Neargroups error page: That page doesn't exist! Out-of-date links continue to appear because Google and other search engines may not have the updated information in their search indexes.
